MXL Genesis Microphone Advertisement...

I just wanted to send the guys over at MXL mad props for the ad they put together featuring yours truly and their stellar recording mic the Genesis! This mic KICKS ASS! I've had such a great time working with it. Been using it on all my vocals for my upcoming record "Delusions Of Grandeur" which I hope will be released sometime this millennium. There also great for miking acoustic guitars as well. Again I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to have this mic and begin on what I hope will be a very long relationship with MXL! Blessings. Eric

HELLO SELLABAND BELIEVERS!!!

Hello one and all! Well first of all I hope all of you had a great holiday this past weekend. I wanted to send a message to all the Sellaband followers and believers out there.

I just updated my new plan for new album that I am working on entitled "Delusions Of Grandeur". I really very excited about it and want to share in the experience in creating it and have all of you be a part of it.

In the meantime you can check my tunes from my previous albums. I also posted a couple of new live videos in the past week or so that look really cool. And please by all means stop by and drop me a line I'd love to hear from you. I'm on all the usual social networks: Facebook, Twitter, Myspace (does anyone ever go to myspace anymore? LOL!).

Anyhow as I mentioned earlier I would love to hear from you and get your thoughts on my plan and material you have heard. Until then. Be well.

Many Blessings
Eric Knight

WTBQ Radio interview in New York earlier today and other random thoughts...

Well this morning I did a radio interview at WTBQ on the Walt & Benzee show in New York. I wanted to thank them both for having me on the show and having a great time on the show. I got to plug the new album so it was pretty cool. I'm also very psyched about tomorrow's big soccer match between the US & Ghana. I hope the officiating is much better than the last two abysmal matches. We were robbed not only once but twice. Amazing, it goes to show you how much we really aren't liked in other nations. But that's cool we still came back in the end and could not be denied, it was a true Hollywood ending. Well that is all for now, it's almost midnight and need to catch some zzzzzzz. Seacrest out...

Berklee College of Music West Lecture / Workshop Series...

Hello people of the world. Well yesterday was a pretty cool day although extremely exhausted. I was invited to speak to students from the Berklee College of Music West program. These are students that travel from Boston to attend school out here in LA and get internships in the Music Industry during the summer months. Most of them were film scoring majors which was pretty cool since I am a huge fan of movie soundtracks and composers. Having done some scoring myself on a movie last year it was pretty cool to talk to these students about what they were doing and what projects they were working on. Ultimately one of my goals is to start writing music and scoring more for film. I had a really great time interacting with the students. I brought in some materials to share with the class regarding music supervisors, contracts and stuff of that nature. I hope you guys dug it. Until next time. Many blessings. Eric

Performance with Alejandro Fernandez last night...

Hello one and all. Well last night was a crazy ass night over at the Conga Room for my performance with latin legend Alejandro Fernandez. This was for the launch of his new double album on Universal Music.

I had never been to the Conga Room. It's part of the new LA Live in Downtown LA with the Staples Center, Nokia Theatre etc. Very cool venue. Nice and wide very cool decor. Parking is a joke at $25 a pop. I don't know how people get away with this. The problem is that people don't think twice about it and pay the money so that's how they are able to jack up the prices and get away with it. It's INSANE!

The performance went pretty much without a hitch, it was the 7+ hours of waiting that sucked backstage. The highlight of the night was performing with the live Mariachi band, those guys were fricken AMAZING! They sounded so great it was really cool to see and hear.

I am now in preparation for another performance tomorrow night with two other acts on Universal Music, Ana Isabelle & Fedro. Stay tuned as I will have more photos from the performance with Alejandro and backstage mayhem. Until then. Be Well. EK
